Our Local Farmers' Market in the Rook
It's the Tallarook Farmers Market, so grab ya basket and get down to the market!
First Sunday of each month.
Did you know the Tallarook Farmers Market is the only Accredited market in the Mitchell Shire? The market is an initiative of the TMI Committee in collaboration with the food eXchange. The market has been punching above its weight since 2009 and has survived and thrived through the loyal support of our community and its dedicated local farmers and makers. The town of Tallarook is nestled at the foothills of the Tallarook ranges and less than an hour from Melbourne. The market is located at CWA Park next to the railway station. Our market boasts a variety of authentic locally grown produce from real farmers living in the Goulburn Valley. Seasonal produce includes fruit, vegetables, eggs, bread, mushrooms, cheese, pork, beef, lamb, goat, wine, beer, olives, olive oil, garlic, honey, ferments, jams, preserves, chocolate, pastries, cakes and much more. As well as all the superb local produce there's also beautiful hand made craft items from our makers. Each month our market offers live music, fresh coffee and mouthwatering ready to eat food.
